Colon Heritage Realty Corporation (Recruitment c/o JESA Management Corp.)

Jesus S. Avila Enterprises started in the mid 1950’s as a single proprietorship, when Atty. Jesus Emilio Suico Avila rented Oriente Theater from his father, Don Jose Avila. Having pioneered the theater business in the 1930’s, the older Avila, weary through the war years, was no longer interested in going back to the theater business. However, the younger song was full of energy and optimism to step into his father’s old business.
The business flourished and after several years, Jesus took control of the old Majestic Theater beside Oriente Theater and renamed it to Ideal Theater. By 1967, Jesus constructed his first own brand new movie house named Rizal Theater, situated behind the Oriente Theater.
In 1969, Jesus renovated the Ideal Theater but a mysterious fire destroyed both the Ideal Theater and the Oriente Theater. The fire limited the business operations to only one theater. Since the cost of rebuilding the burnt theaters was beyond reach of a single proprietor, Jesus created a new corporation; Heirs of Jose Avila, Inc.
Heirs of Jose Avila, Inc. was later renamed to Colon Heritage Realty Corporation. The Colonnade Mall which the company owns recently had a renovation to give the mall a new identity as “everybody’s mall”. As part of the re-development, the four-storey building incorporated a zoning concept. The ground floor houses RTWs, fashion and beauty accessories as well as electronics services and the video arcade areas. The second level houses the entertainment zone to include the 120 square meters activity center, movie houses food court and game center.
