Cebu - Specialist, Fixed Asset Custodianship
Cebu (Cebu City) (Central Visayas)

Responsibilities:
Fixed Assets Custodianship
• Assist in the documentation of fixed assets movements (acquisitions, dispositions, transfers or adjustments)
• Assist in the computation and recording of monthly depreciation expense of fixed assets
• Actively participate in the physical counting and reconciliation of the company’s fixed assets against books
• Closely coordinate with Fixed Assets Accounting for timely recording of fixed asset movements
• Monitor transfers of fixed assets between sites to ensure they are properly authorized and adequately covered by documents
• Ensure that all new fixed asset acquisitions are tagged on a timely basis and supported documents are forwarded to Fixed Assets Accounting as appropriate
• Ensure that all fixed assets proposal are properly supported and supporting documents are forwarded to Fixed Assets Accounting as appropriate
• Assist in the reconciliation of the fixed assets count against the Asset Register
 
Database Update
 • Ensure that database in the Laptop Monitoring System is updated.
• Continuously assess the functionalities of the Laptop
Monitoring System and work with the IT group on enhancements
• Regular update of Headset Inventory
• Assist in the preparation of Headset Report
 
Company Mobile Phones Administration
• Process cellphone-related requests on a timely manner
• Update cellphone administration file maintenance
• Provide reports on cellphone usage and assignments
 
Compliance
• Ensure that internal controls and established Company policies related to fixed assets and company mobile phones are implemented and required documentation are complied with
• Provide support during audit to establish compliance to defined policies and procedures
• Ensure that processed documents and files such as invoices, delivery receipts, completion / acceptance certificates, payment vouchers and other documents necessary to substantiate the business transactions are organized and properly filed

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any related course
  • At least two (2) years experience in general accounting or auditing work with exposure to using computerized accounting system
  • Willing and able to work on extended hours, on GY shift and weekends or holidays
  • Willing to work on shifting schedule
  • Willing and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Willing and able to work under pressure
